We strive to cultivate a caring campus community at Rutgers University- Newark and our wellness services aim to connect students with various resources to help them deal effectively with personal situations that might impact their academic performance during their time with us.  We are the ones who can support the social, emotional, intellectual, physical, spiritual, financial and occupational well-being of our students and help them gain the tools they’ll need to succeed. Our confidential advisor respects each student’s unique personal history and responds in a manner that is courteous and empathetic. Areas that our Wellness Coordinator can assist with include, but are not limited to the following: support services for pregnant students and those with kids, support for homeless students or those who lack fixed, regular or adequate housing or access to food, relationship issues, physical/sexual health concerns, sexual assault, stress/time management and life skills development.
